Welcome to the Idaho History Room – a place to explore the stories, people, and places that have shaped our region. Here you’ll find a helpful user guide alongside a collection of nonfiction reference materials focused on local history, historical photographs, regional publications, family history files and more.
Items in the Idaho History Room do not circulate and are only available onsite. Please take care when handling photographs and documents. Library staff is available to assist you with both physical and digital assets.
This room can be reserved for individuals and small groups up to eight people, making it a great space for collaborative research, family history exploration, meetings, video calls, and group discussions.

The Idaho History Room is dedicated to Carla Sherman, who served our library and community for 30 years, including 14 years as Library Director. Her commitment to preserving and sharing local history inspired this space for learning and connection.
