Valley of the Tetons Library Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
Valley of the Tetons Library is committed to user privacy and confidentiality. The concept of confidentiality extends to information sought or received, materials consulted or borrowed, and includes database search records, reference interviews, borrowing history, interlibrary loan transactions, personal information, and all other personally identifiable uses of library materials, facilities, or services. This also includes sharing names or identifying information after seeing or knowing a patron was at the library.
Volunteers shall not disclose any patron information obtained in the course of her/his volunteer placement to any third parties. This also includes sharing patron information after the volunteer has left their position at the library.
Additionally, no volunteer information will be given to a third party, except for appropriate staff, for any reason without prior written consent. This includes the volunteer’s addresses, telephone numbers, and records of service.
Valley of the Tetons Library Media Release Agreement
Valley of the Tetons Library (VTL) may take photos and/or videos of the building (interior and exterior), programs, activities, and any participants, or patrons; this includes recordings and screenshots of virtual programs. Photos, videos, recordings, and screenshots are for VTL use only and may appear in marketing materials (i.e., social media, digital signs, printed material) or on the VTL website. Any person who does not want to be photographed or recorded should inform the photographer. Participants and patrons will not be named in photo captions.
