The Odin Project is a comprehensive resource for learning all aspects of website-design and development. It prioritizes preparing for entry into the job-market, and includes information about finding jobs and getting hired, in addition to teaching about web-development. The curriculum covers HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Ruby On Rails, jQuery, HTML5/CSS3 and more. The Odin Project is open-source, so once you have some skills under your belt, you can practice what you’ve learned by contributing to the website. There are also a number of opportunities for connecting with other users, making this a good opportunity to learn, practice and collaborate. The curriculum is broken up into sections, which could easily be used as individual courses, meaning that it can still be a good place to learn, even if a career is not your goal.
