Successful Conclusion to VTL’s Chapter 1 Inspire. Explore. Belong. Campaign

December 10, 2024 By Tetons Library Staff

PRESS RELEASE – December 10, 2024

SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION TO VTL’S CHAPTER 1 INSPIRE. EXPLORE. BELONG. CAMPAIGN

Valley of the Tetons Library (VTL) is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the Chapter 1 Inspire. Explore. Belong. Campaign. This targeted initiative toward building a new library in Driggs sought private donations for three foundational areas – land acquisition and preparation, a planning study and architectural needs assessment, and a community awareness plan and organizational development.

“We are so grateful for your generous support, which has helped us achieve remarkable progress in our Inspire. Explore. Belong. Campaign for the Valley of the Tetons Library. Together, we surpassed our Chapter I fundraising goal and are thrilled to share the impact of your contributions,” said Emily Bahr, Director of External Affairs and Advancement, in an email to stakeholders.

Along with the completion of this foundational campaign, VTL recently received notice that their 2024 Federal Appropriations Grant application was not awarded.

“We are proud of the strong application we submitted. Over 200 letters of support were submitted on our behalf, including endorsements from mayors, county commissioners, and other elected representatives—highlighting the broad community enthusiasm for our library project. While this year’s grant required projects to be “shovel-ready” within a tight timeline, our team is confident that we’ll meet this requirement in the future. We are actively pursuing additional funding opportunities and remain committed to building the new library our community deserves,” wrote library directors Savannah Wake and Emily Bahr.

VTL is looking to the future by seeking committed volunteers to serve on a task force for the new library building project. If interested, please fill out the following survey or contact e.bahr@valleyofthetetonslibrary.org.
