Code Combat

Unlike other tools for teaching kids to code, Code Combat does NOT use a block-style programming language. Instead, it allows you to choose between Python, JavaScript, CoffeeScript and Lua. These languages are very useful for creating both software and websites, and Code Combat is a great first-time introduction to code structure and syntax. Play as a hero character, working your way through fun and challenging puzzles, using code to control what your character does in each level. If you want to jump right into writing code and have a lot of fun, give Code Combat a try!
