We accept books in good enough condition we can sell via donation, the proceeds of which support the Library. Both locations have a Dog Eared Den for browsing any time the library is open. Come check out our books–the quality might surprise you! The Friends of the Library also hold semi annual sales with many more books and materials than we can fit on our shelves!
Simple rule! If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t give it to us. We are friends, after all.
Donations can be made at either branch during business hours. Limits: Victor accepts 3 boxes per week, which must be made in boxes or containers that can be left behind. Driggs accepts small, single box donations, unless you call ahead. Please do not leave books outside.
You can donate DVDs, Audio books, and similar materials in good condition, as well as tools for our Tool Library. Please check in before bringing tools, as our space is limited. Once donated, items become the property of Valley of the Tetons Library and may be added to our collection, placed on our by-donation bookshelves, sold at our Friends of the Library book sales, traded, donated, or otherwise discarded.
Library staff cannot assign a value to donated items but can provide a receipt acknowledging donation. If considering a donation for a tax benefit, it is up to the donor to determine a fair market value of their donation.
Items we do not accept are:
- moldy, burned, chewed, damaged, missing pages, etc.
- written in/highlighted
- Encyclopedias and Dictionaries

We do not accept newspapers, unless of historical value. Please call before bringing magazines.
Occasionally, due to the volume of recent donations or lack of storage, we may stop accepting donations. Check here for updates.
Thank you for thinking of Valley of the Tetons Library!
